Making lemonade out of lemons!!

As many of you know Karli's family has started a non-profit in her name to reach out to families faced with similar situations. They are currently working to complete the necessary actions to become a recognized non-profit organization. In the mean time it would be much appreciated if you could spread the word by going to the facebook page and hitting the "like" button. http://www.facebook.com/#!/KarliJChildrensBenefit. Also visit the webpage http://karlij.org/ to keep updated on the status and upcoming events with the organization.

Also there continues to be tremendous support from the community for this amazing family. Here are all the details for an upcoming fundraiser at Pearl studios on March 2, so mark those calendars.

Again thanks for all the support and well wishes for this family, it really does mean a lot to everyone!!

Memories For Bodie

We all know that Karli was an amazing and very special person to so many and we want to make sure that her son Bodie grows up hearing stories of how amazing his mother was. This blog is to share your stories and memories of Karli so that someday her son can look back and know his mother through all of us. Everyone is more than welcome to share photos as well. Ultimately through this blog we hope to create a book for Will and Bodie to have forever.

We can't wait to read all the stories and the pictures!!

Karli R. Johnson 12-17-2011

There is a story of a lover, a fighter, and an amazing friend. Thursday morning Karli had an aortic dissection - doctors felt it was safer to separate Bodie and Karli. He pulled through like a champ, 5lbs 1 oz 18 in, Karli had to get through the next 48 hours. She was so brave and courageous through all of this. Saturday afternoon Karli met her little man and shortly thereafter she went into emergency surgery and passed away. She loved Bodie and Willie more than life and fought with all she had. We love our little nickerbocker. Send all your love and special prayers to Bodie, Will, and family.
